| Resumo: | This paper analyzes labor relations under two conflicting moral orders: that of ethic utilitarianism and that of the Kantian ethics of duty. Utilitarianism, a moral conviction shared by most of administration and economics theorists, is exemplified by the dialogbetween Frederick Taylor and a laborer, while the ethics of duty, a conviction shared by many intellectuals and laborers, has a rather quixotic approach, but is not by any means void of significance. |
