Descripción
Sumario:In March 2020, the World Health Organization declared Covid-19 a pandemic. Data from the Ministry of Health reveal that, by August 2022, Brazil had more than 34 million cases. Faced with this situation, several strategies were developed in an attempt to stop the pandemic. This study aimed to carry out a patentometric survey on patent registrations on Covid-19 within the scope of CT&I. The methodology adopted was a state-of-the-art search through patentometry in the Orbit Questel software. Ten patents were selected with technologies aimed at combating Covid-19, which bring proposals with the use of robotics, artificial intelligence and drugs. In this scenario, Brazil has four patents, corresponding to 2% of production and ranking 12th out of 20 countries. It is concluded that seeking tools and producing inventiveness in a situation like the pandemic is essential.
