The covenant between God and Abraham is thus analyzed as a classic example of agreement between a human being and a supernatural force, questioning the idea of a pact with Evil. Even the existence of an essentially malignant entity opposing God is not fully justified, in the Hebrew Bible; being much more a Christian creation than a Jewish one.Este artigo analisa brevemente a pertinência da ideia de pacto demoníaco na Bíblia Hebraica. Embora muito difundida no imaginário cristão e pagão, a noção de uma força maligna a contratar com os seres humanos está longe de ser endossada por essa obra. Ao contrário, nela, é a divindade que estabelece a relação pactual com os seres humanos. Analisa-se, assim, o pacto entre Deus e Abraão, como exemplo clássico de acordo entre ser humano e força sobrenatural, questionando a ideia de pacto com o Mal.
