| Summary: | Centrality emerges from the economic strengthening of the center, gathering the concentration of economic activities and urban devices. It is the point of articulation of the urban hinterland that holds the flows of goods, services, commodities and people. In face of that, this article aims at understanding the process of urban centrality in the small town Terra Boa-PR, highlighting the main economic activities and their flows. Methodological support was based on bibliographical research, on-site research, mapping of the use and occupation of the land. Results show that centrality does not spread throughout the whole center, being restricted to locals with displacement of material and immaterial flows, with more concentration at Brasil Avenue and adjacent squares, since they present a varied and diversified trade, with products and services that gather the superior circuit of urban economy. The presence of economic activities show the functional and economic character of urban centrality in the central area of Terra Boa, highlighting the internal urban economic dynamics by embracing the request for goods and products, both for internal consumption and for attending other cities around. |
