| Resumo: | This research aims to identify the role of nurses in situations of obstetric violence during labor, childbirth, and the immediate postpartum period, based on the following guiding question: what are the nursing actions for the prevention of obstetric violence? The methodology used was the integrative review and search for articles in the LILACS and Scielo databases, in the last five years (2017 to 2022), in Portuguese, with the final sample consisting of 12 articles. According to the literature, misinformation regarding the rights of parturient is an important risk factor for the occurrence of this practice. It is essential that obstetric nursing knows how to recognize women who are vulnerable to suffering from OR, seeking to create bonds of trust and promote humanized and safe care. The need for professional training to combat this form of violence is emphasized, and it should be a theme addressed in the professional training courses for obstetric nurses, so that care practices are based on humanization and respect for parturient and newborns. |
