| Sumario: | This paper aims to analyze the dynamics of Brazilian service exports in the period from 2011 to 2020, taking into account the main economic theories that point to the importance of exports to the development of a country. Furthermore, using bibliographical, descriptive and statistical methods, the paper analyzes the general macroeconomic panorama of the Brazilian economy in the years 2011 to 2020, a period in which two typical economic cycles are observed, and discusses whether the dynamics of exports of services follows this behavior. Finally, we analyze which are the main services exported by the country and its main partners, comparing these results with those of the main service-exporting countries worldwide. The preliminary results indicate that Brazil has become the largest exporter of services in Latin America, but in comparison with more developed countries its participation is still not significant, as in the case of the United States, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Germany. Furthermore, the configuration of the Brazilian imports and exports of services indicates the country's strong dependence on services with higher added value, in line with the behavior of the trade list of products. |
