Description
Summary:This text evaluates the performance of Florestan Fernandes between 1987 and 1994, as a Federal Deputy, when he reaffirms his defense of public education, in addition to denouncing the persistent racism in our social relations. Therefore, it deals with the political intervention of Florestan Fernandes in favor of public education and against structural racism. To this end, this text analyzes their speeches at the National Constituent Assembly, registered in the Assembly's Gazette in 1997, in addition to evaluating their proposal for a Constitutional Amendment, presented in 1994, which recommends racial reparation through the insertion of blacks in public and state education.
