Effect of abscisic acid on micropropagation of cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz)
ABA effect on micropropagation of Mantiqueira cassava, Manihot esculenta (Euphorbiaceae), is provided. An entirely randomized design with 10 replications and four treatments (0; 0.1; 1.0 and 10.0 mg/L of ABA) was statistically delineated. Data of characteristics (number of leaves and roots; length o...

| Sumario: | ABA effect on micropropagation of Mantiqueira cassava, Manihot esculenta (Euphorbiaceae), is provided. An entirely randomized design with 10 replications and four treatments (0; 0.1; 1.0 and 10.0 mg/L of ABA) was statistically delineated. Data of characteristics (number of leaves and roots; length of aerial part and roots; weight of total dry matter) underwent variance and regression analyses according to ABA concentrations. Models were chosen on determination coefficient and on the significance of regression coefficients by Student's t test at 1% probability. When good adjustments for regressions failed, data were discussed according to descriptive analysis. Results indicate that ABA inhibits cassava seedling growth |
