| Sumario: | In this article we briefly discuss the concepts of phase and tradition, and their implications for the understanding of the distribution of ceramic traces of the so called Itararé-Taquara ceramic tradition in southern and southeastern Brazil. We present new data related to the Itararé-Taquara tradition, from the state of São Paulo. Based on such data, we raise some hypotheses about the origin and dispersion of human groups bearers of this ceramic technology. |
