| Sumario: | The overweight it’s highly prevalent between some professional categories that have your work time unsettled. Many studies indicate that people who sleep less, have a big chance to became obese. This research aimed to identify the predominance of overweight and obesity through the Body mass index of the night officials from an public hospital in Salvador-Ba. Method : study sample with cross of 193 officials that were evaluated through the body mass index (IMC),being considered overweight that people with IMC between 25 a 29.9 kg/m² and considered obesity equals or exceeds 30 kg/m² and the various studied : age, gender and time of night shift. the analyses of the results show that 43.52% presented overweight, and 21.76% presented obesity, so 65.28% of people tested are with overweight. It was observed in the scientific literature studied that the biological changes, psychological and social occurred with shifts of workers make them a population at risk. |
