Descripción
Sumario:The process of production and reproduction of urban space is primarily characterized by urbanization which is concretized mainly by the expansion of the urban network and the implementation of new economic enterprises. Thus, each city is taken by the singularity, consisting of contradictions and specific ideologies, which enable the consumption networks system building a relation of trade in goods and services between cities and their regional surroundings. In this perspective, we highlight the city of Montes Claros, considered a medium-sized town and regional center for both services rendered to the population of surrounding cities and for the trade, factors that extend the daily flow of people. This regional centrality affects the intra-urban space, because there is a spatial organization of services in order to meet the regional demand. In this context, this article aims to analyze the territorialization of services in the intra-urban space of Montes Claros, due to the role of regional center that the city has in the northern region of Minas Gerais. The methodology used for the development of the article consisted of a literature review, empirical and documental research to identify the territorialization. The results allow us to reflect on the dynamics of these multiple territories in the urban space of the city.
