Descripción
Sumario:Portuguese translation, with comments, of an inscription on a small Hellenistic pediment from the 2nd century BCE about a decree honoring the demarch Pamphilos. The inscription displays how the Eleusinian Mysteries were still important in the Hellenistic period, and proves as well the role of women in the conduct of religious events. It also gives evidence of the organization of small and large festivals, of the liturgy of events in the theater, and of religious processions and sacrifices.
