| Summary: | Studies that deal with daily commuting for reasons of work and/or study are incipient when referring to the pendularity in the Metropolitan Region of Recife (MRR). Therefore, this paper proposes to analyze the characteristics of pendulum mobility among fourteen municipalities of MRR in the year of 2010. To do so, the microdata of the demographic census 2010 sample is the main source of information. The main results show that in the MRR, the municipalities of Recife, Olinda and Jaboatão are responsible for the largest volumes of people that circulate daily in the metropolitan area. This is due to the geographical proximity among the municipalities and also because of the concentration of investments. |
