| Sumario: | In this article it was aimed to analyze the influence of the managerialist in the management of Brazilian public schools, verifying to what extent this new tendency has modified the organization of the school and the work of the director. The management of public schools in Brazil has been changing in recent decades due to the implementation of management models in public administration. A bibliographic research was conducted on school management in Brazil. The empirical research was carried out through interviews with directors of public schools in the interior São Paulo, in order to obtain information regarding the organization of the school and the work of the director. The research data showed a great influence of managerialism in the management of Brazilian public schools. |
