Resumo:This article aims to demonstrate how the dimensioning and installation of a church's air conditioning system is, through the information collected from the analyzed environment. All calculations involving thermal load in the process will be presented for the dimensioning. So, choose the most efficient equipment and mode of installation. In addition, to ensure that the air conditioning system will meet the thermal demand of the environment and provide thermal comfort. Finally, the entire article will be based on the specifications of the NBR 16401 standard - Air conditioning installations - Central and unitary systems. At the end of the calculations, the thermal load value equivalent to 7.1 TR or 84970.13 BTUs was obtained, providing 2 choices for implementation on site. The first choice would be to implement a ducted system (spliton) with 7.5 TR and the other option would be a split dual inverter system with 24000 BTUs with 4 units. The dual inverter split system with 4 units of 24000 BTUs was selected for cost reasons.
