| Sumario: | The this Article is fruit of the masters in Social Sciences in University Federal of Campina Grande between year 2011-2013, and analyzes the processes by which the conditions of existence in space rural the Megaípe Sugar Mill, located in municipality of Jaboatão dos Guararapes-PE, has morphed face of the economic dynamics under way in the "zone" of cane sugar, which is mainly driven by industrialization and logistics, which is symbolized by the Port of Suape. The central idea of this work is to show what are the main productive strategies that enable the social reproduction of these families that living on the sugar mill, showing, especially, how they perceive these new ways of working. Among search results, stand out: the search by work in industries as a project of life of families the sugar mill; the maintenance in the sugar mill of activities agricultural of subsistence; and insecurity of families in lost their townhouses in engenho forth of the transformations that occurring in the region. |
