Sumario:Objectives: Some sports determine the achievement of specific body movements that can promote postural changes that limit and impair sports. Objective: To evaluate the effect of Global Active Stretching (GAS) on postural changes in badminton athletes. Methods: This study is a prospective intervention, analytical and quantitative conducted with 23 athletes badminton, 6-17 years, of both sexes, held at the community center Ludjan Ladeira in Teresina (PI). Initially postural assessment by means of photogrammetry was performed, and then the athletes underwent ten sessions of GAS, 45 minutes long, every day for two weeks. Results: There was a significant improvement in postural changes of athletes, where all measures of anatomical points with p < 0.05. Conclusion: GAS promoted improvement in postural changes of badminton athletes, however we suggest further studies that address this issue and assess the influence of this method in sports performance.
