Uno de los principales ideólogos de la UCA fue el filósofo tomista Octavio Nicolás Derisi (1907-2002) que resultó designado rector entre 1958 y 1980. Las universidades católicas creadas en América Latina tenían tradiciones distintas en función de su relación con las estructuras eclesiásticas nacionales y de su filiación dentro del arco de las diferentes órdenes religiosas. En este artículo intentaremos caracterizar las particularidades que distinguieron a la UCA analizando, por un lado, la trayectoria de monseñor Derisi hasta que fue designado rector y por el otro, sus nociones sobre la universidad mientras estuvo en la gestión.The Foundation of the Argentina Catholic University (UCA) in the 1950s marked the beginning of the stage of privatization of the Argentine higher education, which since the 19th century was in the hands of the national State. One of the main ideologues of the UCA was the Thomistic philosopher Octavio Nicolás Derisi (1907-2002) who was appointed rector between 1958 and 1980. Catholic universities created in Latin America had different traditions depending on their relationship with the national ecclesiastical structures and their affiliation within the arc of the different religious orders. In this article we will try to characterize the particularities which distinguished the UCA analyzing, on the one hand, the path of Monsignor Derisi until he was appointed rector, and on the other, their notions about college while was in management.Fil: Rodríguez, Laura Graciela.
