| Sumario: | This article analyzes the number of contracts and the amount accessed for this credit line in the national scenario and its effectiveness in the empirical context of the municipality of Chapecó, in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. The research is exploratory, through a case study with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through a semi-structured questionnaire, with the participation of ten family farmers. Content analysis was performed based on the information obtained. The main results show that the majority of the financing line resources are in the southern region of the country. However, the limits, especially regarding the value of the credit contracting ceiling, in addition to the bureaucratic obstacles to contracting and the lack of assistance from civil engineering and architecture professionals, make the process of accessing and consolidating the resource difficult. Advances are needed in State actions in order to address the needs that still exist in rural areas in terms of housing conditions. |
