Summary:Serjania littoralis Somner & Ferrucci sp. nova (Sapindaceae) is described from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It belongs to Serjania sect. Serjania. The new species is illustrated and compared with its putative closest relatives S. dentata and S.faveolata. It is known only from restinga vegetation. In addition, the micromorphological characters of the pollen grains are described.
