The characterization of the different electrodes is performed using optical techniques such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDAX) and electrochemical techniques as cyclic voltammetry, charge-discharge curves and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS).
