A partir del análisis de la cuenca oeste de Entre Ríos, se ilustran las características particulares de sus formas de territorialización, así como la incidencia que tiene la proximidad geográfica y social en el tipo de vínculos establecidos con los productores. Por su parte, el abordaje de las reconfiguraciones recientes experimentadas por el conjunto de la industria permite poner en perspectiva la conformación de un estrato mediano de firmas que explota las ventajas de la proximidad, pero presenta algunos rasgos que dan cuenta de sus compromisos selectivos con los actores locales. La metodología empleada combina fuentes y técnicas de análisis cuali y cuantitativas.The article makes progress in the characterization of dairy SMEs in Argentina, their relations with local spaces and their markets in relation to the leading firms, with which they maintain differences in terms of access to resources and behaviors. Based on the analysis of the milk basin of west Entre Ríos, their forms of territorialization are illustrated, as well as the incidence of geographical and social proximity on the linksthey establish with producers. On the other hand, tackling the recent reconfigurations experienced by the industry enables to put in perspective the formation of a medium stratum of firms that can exploit the advantages of proximity, but presents certain features that indicate their selective commitments with local actors.
