| Sumario: | Historical Archaeology, as a speciality of Archaeology, approaches societies from the past through the articulationofthe evidence of material culture and written narratives. From the analysis as per Documentary Archaeology of the cases recorded in the Criminal Court of History Records of Buenos Aires during the years 1810-1854 in Magdalena (Buenos Aires), we propose an analysis that approaches materiality from documents, combining two levels of investigation -the materiality of the documents that circulated in the past, which determine the practices of appropriation and use of the written word, and the materiality referred to in the content of the analysed narratives. In this way, documents are approached and analysed in terms of their form and content. |
