| Resumo: | This paper deals with the water desalination processes powered by renewable energy resources. An autonomous system based on electrodialysis technology and fed from photovoltaic panels is analyzed. Mathematical models for the several components, putting particular attention in the electrodialysis process, are developed. A control strategy based both in supervision control ideas and concepts of sliding modes is proposed. This allows guaranteeing the water quality beyond perturbations in the concentration and in the water flow in the cells input, as well as solar radiation fluctuations. Simulation results, which show the performance of the proposal, are presented. |
