Facultad de Ingeniería Química; Argentina.En esta tesis estudiamos a una nueva torre de cuerpos de funciones de tipo Artin-Schreier type sobre un cuerpo finito de característica dos. En particular demostramos que esta torre es óptima sobre un cuerpo finito con cuatro elementos. El estudio del comportamiento asintótico de esta torre fue propuesto como problema abierto por Beleen, Garcia and Stichtenoth en el año 2006. También dimos un método para construir subsucesiones y supersucesiones de cuerpos de funciones sobre cuerpos finitos y generalizamos algunos resultados relacionados con la composición y el espacio de descomposición de torres de cuerpos de funciones.In this thesis we study a new tower of function fields of Artin-Schreier type over a finite field with characteristic two. In particular we prove that this tower is optimal over a finite field with four elements. The study of the asymptotic behavior of this tower was left as an open problem by Beelen, Garcia and Stichtenoth in 2006.
