Also the validity of <i>Teius oculatus</i> (d’Orbigny et Bibron, 1837) instead of <i>Teius teyou</i> auctorum is here confirmed, being restricted the taxon <i>Teius teyou</i> (Daudin, 1802) to the formerly named <i>Teius cyanogaster</i> Muller, 1928. In the case of the genus <i>Phymaturus</i> Gravenhorst, 1838, in agreement with the art. 70b of the Code 1985 (Int. Comm. Zool. Nomencl.), the taxon <i>Phymaturus flagellifer</i> (Bell, 1843) new combination is proposed. <i>Phymaturus</i> Gravenhorst, 1838 is the senior generic name, though applied to a misidentified type species, which corresponds to the following synonymic taxon <i>Centrura flagellifer</i> Bell, 1843.<i>Lacerta palluma</i> Molina, 1782, erroneamente considerata <i>Stellio palluma</i> da Daudin (1802) e poi da Gravenhorst (1838) come specie tipo del genere <i>Phymaturus</i> Gravenhorst, 1838 è invece la senior specie del genere <i>Callopistes</i> Gravenhorst, 1838, per cui, anche a giudizio della Commissione intemazionale di Nomenclatura zoologica, la successiva specie <i>C. maculatus</i> Gravenhorst, 1838 passa in sinonimia, divenendo taxon valido <i>Callopistes palluma</i> (Molina, 1782). In questa nota si conferma anche la validità di <i>Teius oculatus</i> (d’Orbigny e Bibron, 1837) che sostituisce <i>Teius teyou</i> auctorum ora solo ristretto come <i>Teius teyou</i> (Daudin, 1802) a <i>Teius cyanogaster</i> Muller, 1928) del Chaco.
