Sumario:In this paper focused on the critical reception of La señorita de Tacna (1981), we set two objectives, the first is to analyze, from a panoramic approach, the historical and conceptual development of the most transcendental contributions to this work; for this, we propose to divide them into three periods, from the publication of the play to the present. On the other hand, our second objective is to present an exhaustive list of references of the critical bibliography on the play, whereby we seek to constitute a minimum indispensable bibliography for any researcher interested in the work of the Peruvian writer. Finally, this paper has allowed us to: a) visualize the recurrent critical genres of these investigations, b) propose a periodization of criticism, and c) provide a clearer overview for the development of new readings that are interested in those aspects that have not yet been covered.
