Sumario:The design and synthesis of receptors for the molecular recognition of anion is an important area of research due to the fundamental role that anions present in nature, as well as in medicine, catalysis, environmental sciences, biology and chemistry. This paper describes important aspects to be considered for the design of receptor anions and examples of neutral and positively charged receptors.
