Resumo:The article analyses current electoral trends in Chile and Argentina, exemplifying how both countries are now Racing a crucial period in which the existing correlations of political forces are entering in a turning point in the definition of two countries’ future. Alternative “third electoral forces” have broken the de facto bipartisanship in Argentina while in the Chilean case; consensual politics seems to have entered in a period of demising returns.
