CONFIRMATION OF THE PRESENCE OF THE NEOTROPICAL WHIPSNAKE Masticophis mentovarius FOR THE STATE OF HIDALGO AND MAXIMUM ELEVATION FOR THE SPECIES.
We confirmed the presence of the Neotropical Whipsnake Masticophis mentovarius for the Mexican state of Hidalgo and recorded the highest elevation for the species at 2301 m a.s.l. The record is based on is based on an individual found run over on the road in the Municipality of Huichapan.
