Descripción
Sumario:The aim of this paper is to address the relationship between the perception of self-efficacy and academic performance in students of high school. 592 teenagers from a public school answered an identification card with questions regarding personal, familiar and scholar information, as well as a Scale of Self-Efficacy in Academic Behavior (EACA in spanish). Global school averages of participants were also obtained. A statistically significant correlation between self-efficacy and academic performance (r = 0.409, p = .0000001) was found. As a conclussion, a reciprocal, positive influence between perception of self-efficacy and academic performance is discussed.
