Description
Summary:This paper aims to understand palliative care (PC) when included as part of the treatment for patients with cancer and when there is no need to wait for the person to be in an advanced or terminal stage of the disease. Palliative care is considered as the care required by patients living critical stages of life. Therefore, palliative care should be included from the diagnosis phase of the disease in order to go hand in hand with treatment. This situation is of great importance, because as we are human beings, we have emotional, social, and spiritual needs so that we perceive ourselves in a wholesome way.
