| Summary: | This paper aims to analyze the incursion of technological media in the early 60's the traditional etching process. Recall that the graph is the oldest printing systems and the main expressive manifestation of man in the beginning of the story. It is noteworthy that, in the late eighteenth century engraving gradually begin to discharge its hitherto almost exclusive link with massive editing and labor regulations imposing professional workshops, this in order to assimilate more open and direct creative approaches. One of the main characteristics of today is recorded as manifested Ramos Guadix in his book additive techniques in contemporary engraving: "... It is that no longer resigned to maintain their previous servitude ..." is no longer the relative poor of 'high art'. The word "print" is often used as a general term for all kinds of incised and embossed techniques, especially in the field of art. The engraving has become a specific language; and not have to imitate to reveal what the painting expresses under its own uniqueness, but is a separate procedure. Due to this was the approach of artists from different sources to this art, which reflect an interest in discovering the language inherent to the medium. That is why the changes through history have led the artist to the discovery of new tools, new media and therefore a new understanding of their general environment. |
