His drawings seek to go into detail about the creative soul of the artist through the experimentation and the chance; intrusion into the inner world that lies beneath the creative myth. They are reflection of the world in which his literary work is developed, not in a literal but in a symbolic way. Victor Hugo does not draw architecture, he draws the chaos, the exaltation, that sublime.
