Descripción
Sumario:One of the most important bauxite site in the Spanish Pyrenees is the Sierra de Boada which is analyzed in this note. The bauxites are located between Middle Jurassic dolostones and Upper Cretaceous sandstones. They are typified from a mineralogical, petrological and stratigraphical point of view and the biostratigraphy of the related materials is also presented. The bauxitogenic and depositional interval would be comprised between the lower Aptian and the middle Cenomanian according to the shorter hiatus deduced by the biostratigraphic data
