| Sumario: | This essay is a reaction to the variety and richness of civil education situations and perspecrives in the light of rhe new challenges Spain will have to face. It thus underlines not only the possibility but also the need chat this subject should be taught in the wider area of moral education. As far as its fulfilment is concerned, chis anide emphasises the need of civil education to have specific contents, to pursue the learning of them to form true social virtues and to creare che right climate by realising the fundamental didactical arrangements. Civil education would chus give rhe learner useful knowledge to lead correct social relationships, stimulating a sincere adhesion to those ideals characterising a country in its own profile, sharing common values and trustfully practising sociality.
