Sumario:[EN] This specific article explores the idea of inhabiting a place, analysing the work of a number of contemporary artists who reflect the specific concept construction. First, we demostrate the concept of inhabiting as a process in constant change, which appeals to the experience and the experience that you have in the place, whose result is the construction of a space that formed the subject, where he forms his sense of belonging. and that their sense of belonging is forming. This process leads to the establishment of emotional ties between the person and the place as well as the generation of frames of significance that are collectively shared . In this occasion, we explore the concept of memory, inasmuch as it refers to the meanings shared in a specific space. To deepen the content of each chapter we will take as a reference several works of contemporary artists who explore, question, or extend the presented concepts. The article concludes by emphasizing contemporary's art capacity for dialogue with reality and also to question us about how we build our sense of belonging to a place, demonstrating the need for identification and the contingency conditions in our living spaces.
