| Sumario: | This article examines the relationship between proverbs and modernity. Part of the traditional world, proverbs are opposed, apparently, to modernity characterized by what is current. But, in spite of this opposition, there is evidence that these two realities have a link that is at a social level and aesthetic level. Socially, the proverb may be perceived as a powerful educational tool, teaching and cognitive. Aesthetically, its impact comes from its images, its rhythm, truth general or universal it carries and its formulism. Through this link, they appear as two realities that can reconcile. |
