Jaʿfar b. Abī Yaḥyā

Jaʿfar b. Abī Yaḥyā (d. 573/1177-8) was a Yemeni Zaydī theologian and judge. He was fundamental in the establishment of a Yemeni strand of Basran Muʿtazilī theology and was actively involved in the transmission of its literature to Yemen.
