| Sumario: | This chapter provides a brief introduction to the object and structure as well as the conceptual framework of the book. First, it develops the broad presentation of the European Green Deal (EGD) as an ongoing strategy to be developed into multiple policy and legal instruments. Second, it addresses the issue of the European Union’s competences in the EGD’s external dimension. Lastly, it introduces the book’s broad conception of external action and conditionality, which in the case of the EGD has extraterritorial reach owing to its global intent. |
