| Summary: | (ES) El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo destacar los múltiples beneficios que tiene usar la literatura para la adquisición del inglés como segunda lengua, concretamente la literatura juvenil, ya que este tipo de literatura atrae a los adolescentes y por lo tanto, mostrarán interés en entender lo que están leyendo. A su vez, la unidad didáctica propuesta aquí está basada en el libro The Hunger Games (Collins, 2008), ya que esta novela distópica puede llegar a conectar con los adolescentes además de permitirles reflexionar sobre temas como la injusticia social, la desigualdad de clases, la corrupción y los privilegios. (EN) This project aims to highlight the numerous benefits the use of the literature in the EFL classroom may provide, specifically Young Adults’ Literature, since this kind of literature grabs students’ attention and, will therefore, arouse their interest in understanding what they are reading. Furthermore, the Didactic Unit proposed in this project is based on the book The Hunger Games (Collins, 2008), as this dystopian novel may resonate with teenagers as well as it allows them to reflect on topics such as social injustice, class inequality, corruption and privileges. |
