Descripción
Sumario:[eng] Winter census of Wildfowl and Shorebirds in the Balearic Islands, January 2011. A total of 35.240 birds belonging to 75 different species were recorded. The number of individuals, species and participants is the highest since the census was first started in 1991. Results of the different islands are compared with the mean values of 1991 to 2010. In general, the tendency of positive increase in the number of dabbling ducks is maintained, whilst diving ducks are not found to be recovering, their numbers reduced considerably since the 1990’s.
