Resumo:ABSTRACT The present research entitled "Usability Evaluation of the Virtual Learning Environment of the subject of Natural Sciences in students of Fifth EGB of the Basic Educational Unit "Adolfo Kolping", established as an objective to propose a methodology called U.E.V.A, to determine the usability based on the ISO/IEC 9241-11 Standard, perceived by students and teachers of Primary Education in the Runachay platform, consequently, according to the results obtained, the improvements of the educational EVA interface in the Gnomio Moodle platform were developed. The study had a mixed approach, with an experimental type of research. The research method was synthetic analytical, field and cross-sectional. The population consisted of 10 students and 10 teachers of EGB and a non-probabilistic purposive sampling was applied. The techniques used for the evaluation of usability were itinerary activities, observation and checklist. The SUS (System Usability Scale) usability questionnaire developed by (Brooke, 1996), applied with the help of Google forms, was used for this evaluation. The results obtained in the first usability evaluation developed in the EVA Runachay of the Natural Sciences subject by the users, according to the SUS Usability Likert Scale were interpreted as "Good" with observations for improvement, while in the second usability evaluation developed in Gnomio Moodle, the results were defined as "Excellent"; and finally it was demonstrated and proved that implementing SUS instruments based on ISO/IEC 9241-11 norms and standards within the methodology used are reliable and safe since they help to contribute in a successful way to the teaching-learning process.
