Resumo:The objective was to know the meanings that middle-class women from the Región Metropolitana, in Chile, constructed in relation to their bodies by using sex toys. From the Community Psychology, the use of sex toys was understood as a practice of resistance against the hegemonic sexual system. Based on a qualitative study, six women were interviewed. The results showed the practice of sex toys as an option for the corporal exploration of women, and as a way to construct meanings focused on their women’s capacity to feel sexual pleasure. The conclusions allowed to think about the sexual practices as an effect of a social-community meanings about sexuality and bodies; and to think sexual toys as a possibility of sexual resistance by women.
