| Sumario: | The locative adverb, in real situations of use, has properties that go beyondthose provided in normative grammars. Thus, in this article, based on authorssuch as Neves, 2002, 2011; Castilho, 2014; among others, we present adescription of the morphosyntactic behavior of this type of adverb, havingas corpus news leads from the newspapers Folha de São Paulo and A Tarde.Starting from the hypothesis that the locative is influenced by properties suchas mobility, form and syntactic function, we performed a quantitative analysiswhose results confirmed its multifunctional behavior. The expectation is toexpand descriptions that contemplate adverbs and to contribute to the teachingof this category. |
