| Sumario: | The article analyzes the approach proposed by the Water-Food-Energy Nexus, very recent and not much explored by International Environmental Law, as well unknown in brasilian researchs. The relevance of the analysis lies in the fact that the nexus can present improvements in environmental legal effectiveness in the management of natural resources, which is why the relationship between the approach and the law must be understood and explored. To do so, the article exposes the nexus methodology and proposes a useful concept for legal research. Secondly, it seeks to contribute to the identification of the relationship between nexus and law, while demonstrating the theoretical and scientific assumptions that originated and motivated the research of nexus. Finally, it highlights the innovative character of the method in comparison with its predecessor models. The research results highlight the multicentric nature of the nexus by proposing an analysis not just integrated, but equally considering the priorities and objectives established by the water, food and energy sectors. The nexus is an equation approach to the natural resources uses that drives the decision-making process thru an analytical and multidisciplinary empirical data. |
