| Sumario: | In this text, I will address both the impact of the text “Deixando o X para trás na linguagem neutra de gênero” and the specific context of the emergence and effervescence of the then incipient activism of non-binary trans people in Brazil, relating it to the production of a transfeminist field. I intertwine this context with my own personal experiences, insofar as I also became part of this field at that time, and it was in this context that I constituted myself as a non-binary trans person just over a decade ago. This text is both an account of my experience and an endeavour to critically reflect on this moment in the production of a transfeminist field and its impact on contemporaneity. |
