Sumario:The standard model of particles has been confirmed experimentaly for decades, demonstrating a huge predictive power. However, the absence of candidates for dark matter, the quadratic divergences and the lack of a scale of grand unification, among other, are examples of imperfections of the standard model, indicating the necessity of a new physics in scales beyond the electroweak. Supersymmetry(SUSY)comesupasapowerfulltoolabletofurnishthecomplementarity needed for the standard model. However, experiments previous to LHC, like LEPI e LEPII, would have sufficient power to detect particles with the same mass and charge of, for exemple, the muon. Though, due the absence of these particle on those experiments, SUSY must be a broken symmetry Thisworkhasforobjectivestudythebasesofspontaneoussupersymmetrybreaking, presenting some scenarios of break, but focusing at the end on the break through gauge interactions (gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking), due his simplicity and phenomenological power.
