Descripción
Sumario:The general objective of this article was to highlight the importance of developing a manual for the protection of dignitaries for the preparation and training of military police officers in Paraná to fulfill this role. This was a bibliographical, exploratory, descriptive and qualitative review that was developed based on already prepared material, consisting mainly of books, procedural manuals, monographs and scientific articles with the aim of supporting a training manual for military police officers. The results showed that the security of dignitaries is an activity that is carried out by individuals, but also by the majority of military contingents, with the objective of preventing, mitigating or reacting against hostile actions that are directed at dignitaries, demanding a level of professionalism and specialization that can only be obtained through adequate preparation of its agents. It was concluded that this activity carried out by military police requires the development of a training manual that is specially designed and planned to respond effectively and quickly to a set of threats that can be prevented for the safety of dignitaries.
