The Taxation on the Slavery and the Slave Trade in the Province of Minas Gerais
This paper analyzes the slavery taxes in the province of Minas Gerais. These taxes allow the knowledge of the slave system and the slave trade in the province during the crisis of slavery in Brazil in the second half of the nineteenthcentury.
